The long and short of days

So, I'm settling in as I can. Making a few friends and stuff. Like I do.

Classes are alright. Honestly, I'm glad I'm taking most of the classes I'm enrolled in. Personally, I'm enjoying Man Choir and Beginning Piano the most, but that's just me. Not really enjoying my Freshman Writing class, but that may be in part of the fact that I have to get up at 6:45 three days out of the week for it. I'm really glad it's the weekend; definitely gonna stay up and stay in bed.

Like I said, I've been making some pretty neat friends.

First up, in no particular order, is Michael Magner, the guy who lives three doors down. Michael's pretty chill, kind of a cool guy. He also has an XBox 360 with a copy of Halo: Reach. I spend time over there kickin his butt most of the time when I've got nothing to do.

Then there's Isaac Ramos, who lives in the same room. Chill as well; dude's in my music fundamentals class. He's also gonna be a dj down here, which is pretty cool.

Next is Jeff Holmes. Jeff kind of comes with a slew of friend, so every time we hang out, I can expect that half the time it'll be with someone I haven't met or have only been briefly acquainted. Jeff's pretty awesome. I love hanging around him, especially since we talk about everything. He also keeps me on task, and I get him to relax and stop working for a bit.

Not making a ton of lady friends YET. Or rather, I'm not close with any of them, and that's more a choice than anything else. The way I see it, I'm here to make friends this semester. I've got too much to work on as far as school goes to even think about a relationship here.

But that's subject to change, as all things are. In my world, almost nothing is absolute, save for these few things.

There is always someone better.

God loves you.

Friends matter.

Getting up at 6:45 is awful.

So, yeah, those are my universal truths.

I hope you guys are doing well. Hit me up with a comment or whatever. Ask me things. I take suggestions and requests, too.

Peace!
